Where did Huck and Tom leave Jim at when they went to the doctor that night? Did they leave him at the island so that they wouldn't find him? How did they end up finding Jim? Why would Jim sacrafise his life to help out "Sid"? was it because he helped out on getting him out and didn't want to see him die? Did Jim not want to think it was his fault if he did end up dying? Why didnt the real Tom tell Huck and Jim that Miss Watson already set him free instead of going through all this trouble and lying? Why did Tom "Sid" tell Aunt sally what really happened?
One thing that i got from chapter 41 was that Tom's Aunt and Uncle worried a lot about "Sid" and kept looking for him and waiting up for him tying to make sure he was okay and safe. Kinda like he was their own son when they really didn't know him. Another takeaway i got was how the doctor fixed up "Sid" and brought him back home on a mattress and how they brought Jim back and did a bunch of things so he would escape again. Like chaining his arms and legs to a staple and having guards or a dog around him all the time. I also got how Jim wouldn't let Huck go into the house. It was the right thing to do because he didnt know how Huck would've reacted if he saw that it was his father.
I like how Tom's Aunt Sally talked to Huck like he was her own child making sure he wouldn't leave and go look for "Sid" and would stay home so that she wouldn't have to worry about both of them. She only had to worry about one the real Tom. I like how Aunt sally kissed and hugged "Sid" when he got back. It shows how much she cares for others. I also liked how Jim sacrificed himself to help the doctor fix up "Sid's" bullet wound. I liked how Tom and Huck both came out clean to all of them about what happened. I liked how Tom wanted to go on the adventure knowing that Jim was already free and he just wanted something to do. A couple more thing that I like about this last chapter was how they paid Jim for being a prisoner and made him feel all grateful about himself. The best thing I think that Jim did in this whole book was not letting Huck go into the house and not telling him till the end.
